Bodysuit and The Manila Project

Are you one of those traveler who ever googles "instagrammable places of" wherever your destination is? Haha. I'm guilty of that. This app has really changed the way we travel. It's helpful in a way though I think.

With quite a lengthy business trip this week that spills over to next week, I was left with nothing but search for pretty interesting places to visit here in Jakarta. It's quite tough though as I've always likened this city to Manila whose redeeming qualities of the country it belongs to lies in the outskirts or in their islands. I mean, Bali would be nice but it's not really an option as of the moment. Also, not that I haven't been here before on a holiday. But like I said, IG is changing things now which means some tourist spots may have changed from how they were like before? Hmm, we shall see about it.

Meanwhile, here's a feature of some of Manila's finest locations where I chose to shoot this bodysuit I got from Rosegal. It has a faux leather front panel and a deep neckline that's way too sexay. Yay! Lol! You can check it out in the link below.

In the future, please expect more of Manila's finest features here in the blog where I choose to call it my Manila project. You can already check out the first one here. :)

P.S. All styling are by yours truly. This post was made in collaboration with Rosegal. You may use RosegalChen code to have an additional 10%-20% discount. :)

Red Gingham

I love following trends. But as what was pointed out here, I really agree that it is important that you still stick to your personal style and not just buy something because everyone is having it. Of course when it comes to polarizing trends such as this (sheer dress, anyone?), I love the part where I challenge myself and make a certain look my own. And I am grateful to have partners that allow me to tackle on trends without shelling out a single centavo. Still, when it comes to choosing items to feature from their lineup, I rather prefer tried and trusted trends – something like gingham.

When combined with on-trend ruffles for summer, this gingham skirt makes for a truly versatile piece. And when paired with chic summer accessories like this ark bag that FINALLY has landed on my hands (I will discuss in my next post), it’s once again another perfect summer combo. :) This ruffled skirt is from Zaful by the way.

Bodysuitin'

With a Monday night freed up from a usual gym class, I was able to watch Wonder Woman the other night. And it is A M A Z I N G! Have you guys seen it? J Gal Gadot, a former Miss Israel and now a mother of two, is my new role model. Hehe. I also saw interviews about her role and something really got into me about comments on how she’s not “suited” for the role bec of her small breasts. Like seriously?

When did an Amazon require big breasts for her battles? I would’ve accepted if the comments were about her legs because I kind of noticed they’re thin. Don’t you know big breasts only adds weight/ burden to a fighting woman but big legs are important for sturdiness. Seriously, these people!!! ðŸ’¢ðŸ’¢ðŸ’¢

As you may have noticed, I’m a proud flat-chested woman. Lol. You may refer to this post here and here for the numerous advantages we have over the others and this is once again highlighted in the bodysuit below. And that is, going braless. ;) This look also alludes to the advantage of a white swimsuit as you may have also seen in my post here

Holiday Retreat

Bonifacio Day holiday spent in another hero's province Rizal? Seriously, can we get any more heroic than that? Haha! We interrupt your regular style programming to give you this holiday retreat in Antipolo, Rizal. Two must visit destinations: (1) Pinto Art Museum that has some Santorini vibes and (2) Luljetta's Hanging Garden and Spa with some Bali feels in it.

A One-Piece in Three!

Before I left for the East Coast, I had a chance to work on a styling gig in a yacht. Yes, I was the stylist here but of course I didn’t pass up for a chance to have some stills for myself (you know me, wink!).

It’s a tricky one because I had to do it without interfering the whole shoot itself. So to quickly pull off three different looks, I chose a very versatile top that could be styled in many ways. And at this stage, allow me to segue a bit to talk a li’l something for my fellow IBTC (itty bitty titty committee).

You see, I’ve always been proud of being flat-chested. And since a lot of sites have already highlighted how lucky blessed we are in this department so from their posts, I will gather the “styling advantages” of us who belongs in the A-team. *wink*

1.  1. Plunging necklines are never an issue. I once had a friend who was jealous that I can wear low necklines without giving off an overtly sexual vibe. She simply can’t do it. And I am simply not envious of girls who has men’s attention because of their decolletage. Ugh, no thanks.

2.   2. Backless tops are flattering. There’s no cut of shirt that is completely off-limits, swimsuits included. Haha! And I always make a joke that should there be a swimwear malfunction, I don’t give two hoots. Lol.

3. 3. Bra-less anyone? This may be too much information but I can pull off a no-bra at workplace, and have been doing it many times. Enough said.

Granted, this top is actually a swimwear that is worn as a bodysuit so indeed there’s no need to go bra-less but I was in a yacht so it’s only appropriate. Also, if you noticed this is the same top worn in my New York post. A swimsuit and bodysuit in one? Aaah, I love it! J

This cruise was actually a short one in Manila Bay. And I will work on my styling portfolio for this soon. Watch out for it.
