On Defining Your Personal Style

When I was doing my best 17 of 2017 year-ender post last December, I must admit at first I suffered from choice overload. Let's say there were about more than a hundred #ootds to choose from. So glad I get to have an additional one for this year, lol. But kidding aside, what helped me narrow it down is defining what best describes my personal style. 

Personal style as one editor put it is your signature 'vibe'. For other people, it's very transparent (shirt and denim type for example) while for some like yours truly it's still not very black-and-white. What I'm certain is that I love re-styling pieces and that up until now I still succumb to trends. Ugh. Yep, been style blogging for years now and I'm still not sure if I've figured it out.

One of the tips from this article to help pinpoint your personal style is to identify the repeat offenders. It says there's a reason why a certain type of clothing abounds in your closet. Well, I have a lot of maxi dresses and long skirts but one of the things that stood out from my outfits last year? This black tutu skirt. I wore it to the streets, brought in Paris and heck even styled it at the beach! 

So, if I were to again use this tip from this article and use three words to describe my style? I will use the adjectives for a tutu skirt. They're ladylike, elegant and dramatic. Oh well, dramatic isn't really a personal style per se but I'll keep it for the meantime. ;) Now tell me what's yours. :)

Summer Somewhere

Sure, it's hard to chance up on a dry day here from now on because of the rainy season but you know what, that shouldn't stop you from wearing a swimwear. ;) As pointed out in this post, bodysuits or one-pieces serve a lot of purposes. This most coveted piece from Zaful has finally landed into my hands. Aaaah, you should know that this swimmie is always out of stock. So even if it's a rainy weekend staycation, you'd be sure that I'd still wear it. I paired it with this maxi tutu skirt that I once featured here. 

The garterized waist clings on to your lower part for cinching purposes while the halter upper part is in mesh panel with some embroidery in it to uhmm cover your bits. With a Monday night freed up from a usual gym class, I was able to watch Wonder Woman the other night. And it is A M A Z I N G! Have you guys seen it? J Gal Gadot, a former Miss Israel and now a mother of two, is my new role model. Hehe. I also saw interviews about her role and something really got into me about comments on how she’s not “suited” for the role bec of her small breasts. Like seriously?

When did an Amazon require big breasts for her battles? I would’ve accepted if the comments were about her legs because I kind of noticed they’re thin. Don’t you know big breasts only adds weight/ burden to a fighting woman but big legs are important for sturdiness. Seriously, these people!!! 💢💢💢

As you may have noticed, I’m a proud flat-chested woman. Lol. All Things New

So, I cut my hair. New year, new look. Lol! It was shocking since I’ve never had my hair this short before and this is the only time I have it colored professionally. Like, seriously. The last time I was under peer pressure from my best friend then who wanted us to try some home treatments. Haha.

Friends seem to approve of it though, judging by the number of likes in my posts. Aaah, social media stats is the new way to gauge things. But somehow it also got me thinking, are they really approving the look or they think I’m going through some break-up issue? In any case, I clearly felt the love folks. Thanks. Lol.

And to debut this look, I choose to pair it with what else? Some of the new things in my wardrobe. *insert sheepish look emoji* Well, I’m sure all of us had something new for the year right? So there goes my black tutu and yellow pumps. Yellow! I’ve been looking for the longest time. Yay!
