Siargao: The Sponsored Looks

Summer is approaching fast enough and you can just simply tell coz I still remember the cold spell this time last year. Oh well, climate change and such.

As for me, I like getting ahead of things so before all the people come flocking to the place because of the self-titled movie (which I must admit I haven't seen yet), I saw a window of opportunity to visit Siargao with a few friends on a budget. Since this is quite a sudden trip (it was booked 2 weeks before), I had to rely on reused items and quick delivery from my partners Rosegal/ Sammydress and Zaful and here's a preview of the with all the items linked.

We made the journey via a stopover at Cebu where my friend Roy is staying. Didn't hurt seeing the place again and getting cheaper fares from the queen city of the south. His place for work isn't bad either with this pool view. Do you still remember this white swimwear from last year? Linked.

Columns

It was a particularly windy day with some rainshower to shoot but when you're pressed for time, you have to make the most out of it. Had to duck under these pretty columns to take photos of these dresses from Fashion Mia.  

I like how the pink dress exudes elegance and gives off some Jackie Kennedy vibes (FLOTUS feels if you would allow me ✌️ ) while the other one is just so romantic that you'd give your SO some butterflies 🦋🦋🦋 while wearing it. :P

You notice a sudden weather change when you get an illness out of it. Rapid rise in temp? Yep, that’s Manila now in 34 deg at most in the daytime. I was actually wondering where that breezy 1 kilometer walks in the morning going to work disappeared to? Now when I get to the office, I have to reach for the fan to feel refreshed. If you look at your IG, the wall is replete with bikini and beach pics and if you haven’t, then you sit down and make plans to go yourself. Lol. But wait, I have to get well first and recover my voice. 😷

It was actually requested last year but somehow the postal system screwed up and it was only delivered about two weeks ago. I was planning to wear it during the cruise (which I haven’t forgotten that I haven’t blogged yet 🤦) but found time otherwise to wear it while in KL last week. Of course, being in the dominantly Muslim city means I  had to cover it up but with this weather that’s not going away anytime soon, I think I’m going to have to a lot of wear out of it. Just in case you haven't realized it yet, athleisure is alive and well and is here to stay. It’s now the cool It-girl style. While the debate is still on whether leggings are acceptable to be worn as pants, we look at one master of athleisure who’s fighting the good fight on making them acceptable – Queen G.
