#TrioThursday: Polka Dot

Not really celebrating Chinese New Year but from where I am right now (blogging from Kuala Lumpur, you guys!) where the festivities have begun, you can just simply tell that this playful dress from Zaful is the best featured dress for today's hashtag. (Red and polka dot, right?)

This is one of my favorite maxis of the moment. Here are the three ways I've accessorized it so far.

Zaful Holiday Dresses

It's officially holiday party season and most likely you got your social  calendar full with all the soirees and shindigs and even wedding-related events (yes, here it is quite popular!) I know sometimes it's easy to reach out for the usual little black dress (LBDs) but here below I present to you the party silhouettes that are stylish and celebrity-approved? Here are the five types of dresses you can pick from and I've sourced from Zaful. :)

The Sparkly Dress
Coz what's a holiday party without something sparkly? ;)

The Sheer Dress

A popular red carpet choice.

The Slip Dress
Very on-the-moment and can easily be dressed up and down.

The Maxi Dress

Perfect for more formal events, a wedding perhaps?

The Fringe Dress

The ultimate party frock! Bonus points if it has sequins in it. ;)

So what's your favorite from these party silhouettes?

Sponsored: Zaful Burnt Orange Maxi Dress

Did you know that brown will be the It-color of this F/W season? No? I remember during my styling workshop at SoFa when our instructor challenged us to wear something in our least favorite color. Like most of you, I came up with a closest brown color in my closet coz there’s literally nothing in pure brown in it.

Most of the style icons like Olivia Palermo have started embracing the color but for most of you who are not ready to jump into the bandwagon, how about a color that’s somewhere close to it? Like, a burnt orange perhaps? :D

Enter this gorgeous dress from Zaful. A feminine burnt orange maxi dress in a lightweight pleated fabric. This is probably my last valiant effort to hold on to the off-shoulder trend (hey, it’s the year of the shoulders!). But if you look closely at the gorgeous crocheted lace detail of the sleeves and neckline, I know you wouldn’t resist this as well. I specially love how the sleeves are draping like they are separate pieces. The best part is that it is free-flowing and billowy that simply makes you just wanna twirl in it all day long. :)

This is just one of the many dresses available at Zaful. Oh, and they’ve got cool sunnies in affordable prices too. My recent frames? This pair in irregular squares. Aren’t they just the coolest?

Shopping at Sammydress

As I look back on the first half of this year, one thing has been certainly the theme of my trips – beach. Actually, I don’t really have to reflect on it, one glance at my skin tone and I see the proof. Lol!

I look ahead into the coming months and sadly, I know that my skin won’t be able to recover yet. XD Though in all fairness, a lot of people approves of my tanned tone. ;) And since I’ve used most of my swimwears from the recent beach trips, it’s time to get some new ones. Admit it, a girl can never have too many swimsuits. ;)

As seen in my previous post here, I’m a fan of swimsuits that offer mileage by doubling as a top. And this one from sammydress is no exception. The pastel color and flouncy top detail makes for one pretty swimsuit at the beach. And what’s more is that I got it for a very affordable price. :)

Naturally, I’d go far to check their dresses too and I was drawn to this black maxi dress with floral print that I think is also ideal for my beach trip. I couldn’t help but test drive it out last weekend. As for the swimsuit, I guess I’d have to patiently wait for next month. ;)

It’s interesting that while online shopping at work (I know, *facepalm*), one of my co-workers got interested in Sammydresses’ clothing line for men (yep, they have a great variety of stuff!). So he asked me to include this printed buttondown that’s very work-appropriate. Here’s how he styled it.

You can check more of their offerings at their website found here. :)

Cool Summer Outfit Combo

If you have been following me in my daily outfits for some time now, you may or may not have noticed one pattern. There are weeks when I am confined to wearing long dresses or pants/ trousers enough to cover entire my entire legs. I ain’t sure if anybody else does this as well but there's no special reason to it. It's just that time of the month where I let my leg hair grow for sometime before going back to shorter hemlines. Lol!

And in these occasions I find myself wearing maxi dresses more often for casual days like going to the gym in the weekends. Before I would usually get comments like, "Where's the beach trip or something?" which makes me wonder why others would confine such flowy dresses to beach or something whereas as proven by this post, a maxi dress paired with sneakers (albeit in my case a white one) is such a cool summer outfit combo. Other international bloggers approve as well. So without further ado, here's a gallery of how I styled my maxis in the past and let me know if I made myself clear. Like if you think my outfits are PAK! Ganern?! =)))))))))))))

UP!!!

Nothing special. I just feel that things are looking up lately in this little styleblogging world of mine especially when I look at the numbers in this blog. Wow, I really do appreciate statistics now. :P So, what better way to express my gratitude and happiness than by posting this very spontaneous shot of me holding a set of balloons that I borrowed from a vendor and totally reminiscent of that house in the cartoon movie. Hehe. I hope everyone is having a great week so far. :)
