Ex In The City

Him: Je Suis Amoureuse. It means you are in love. Who's the lucky guy?

This after a quick peck on the cheek. And my head went:

1.Of course, it's his language. He'd notice. *major eye roll*
2. I bought this dress bec of the jersey number. Why didn't I take an interest in the meaning?
3. Most importantly, I just finished teaching a dance class and hurriedly stormed out in this. WHY NOW?!?! LOL.

Me: You said you'll never come back!!! Oh, I didn't know. Nope. There's no one.

And again, in my head:

1. CAKES, WRONG ANSWER!!!
2. You said you'll never come back again.

We went to talk some more about his plans (possible to change again in my head) while I ogle his arms in his undershirt. To be fair, he's just come off from a different gym too but he still looks hot albeit a li'l sweaty. I hope he thinks the same of me too. Lol.

I walked home that day, learning a new French phrase (lol!) and with a lesson to carefully analyze my statement shirts (or dresses in this case) next time. =))))))

Are you ever that particular in your outfits?

Cool Summer Outfit Combo

If you have been following me in my daily outfits for some time now, you may or may not have noticed one pattern. There are weeks when I am confined to wearing long dresses or pants/ trousers enough to cover entire my entire legs. I ain’t sure if anybody else does this as well but there's no special reason to it. It's just that time of the month where I let my leg hair grow for sometime before going back to shorter hemlines. Lol!

And in these occasions I find myself wearing maxi dresses more often for casual days like going to the gym in the weekends. Before I would usually get comments like, "Where's the beach trip or something?" which makes me wonder why others would confine such flowy dresses to beach or something whereas as proven by this post, a maxi dress paired with sneakers (albeit in my case a white one) is such a cool summer outfit combo. Other international bloggers approve as well. So without further ado, here's a gallery of how I styled my maxis in the past and let me know if I made myself clear. Like if you think my outfits are PAK! Ganern?! =)))))))))))))

White Sneakers at Work

Rainy season is upon us! Atleast here in the Philippines. You know what that means? That omnipresent white sneakers that is largely associated with the athleisure trend may not be appropriate anymore (maybe for some days). Splashing puddles in your Stan Smiths or triple white Huaraches (see the looks here)? NO, NO, NO. Trust me, I bought this highly recommended cleaner in Singapore last January but never really got the time to clean my shoes. :-/

So in what I would say a temporary adieu to my white sneakers, I’ve collated these looks on how I wore them to work for the last six months. As a bonus, I’ve added tips on how to make them work-appropriate. Atleast for casual Fridays? Check out these looks on how to elevate your white sneakers to work.

#1 Dress it up with a midi-length skirt or dress. You can always start with the basic colors (black or gray).

Dress: Zara (also here); Bag: Marks & Spencer; Shoes: Converse

Top/ Clutch: Mango; Skirt: Night market in Taipei; Shoes: Adidas

#2 Team it up with prints for a playful take at work.

Top/ Hat: H&M; Dress: Dorothy Perkins; Shoes: Adidas

Blazer/ Dress: Mango; Shoes: Converse; Bag: Marks & Spencer

#3 Take cues from Kendall Jenner and MOD (model off-duty) it up in all-black. She isn’t the queen of Pinterest boards for nothing.

Outerwear: Topshop (also here); Dress: Terranova; Bag: Balenciaga; Shoes: Adidas

Jacket: Topshop; Dress: Unbranded; Shoes: Adidas

#4 Shirtdress. It’s versatility is endless. You should really invest in this timeless piece. Glad I found mine from this trip.

Triple White Huarache

When a fashion designer changes her mind about something, it is MAJ and we ought to listen. Lol!

To be honest I kind of resented Vicky Beckham when she released her statement years ago about not being able to concentrate in flats. I mean I also love heels but seriously, has she ever tried running in sneakers and see how it helps one to think clearly? Lol.

But no hard feelings now since she just recently kicked off her sky-high heels and proclaimed “I just can’t do heels anymore”.  As a matter of fact, in one of her fashion shows, she showed up and took a bow wearing Stan Smiths. There’s no denying that athleisureis here to stay!

So speaking of 180-degree turns, I am showcasing a style post using this pair of sneakers that initially got me caving in because of peer pressure. The girls wanted a triple-white sneakers as one of the stage “uniforms” whenever we team teach dance classes (hence the Nike Huarache) and so I agreed thinking that this better be confined within the gym only.  But guess who now loves styling them to work? Lol. It’s so perfect especially for Friday dress-downs and also on gym or dance rehearsal days or travel or anytime! I also finally got my cleaners from a recent trip in Singapore so I can wear it more often. Yaaaaayyy!

SG 2016

With just one stop away from Kuala Lumpur, I decided to extend my trip and cross borders via bus to Singapore last weekend. With a boyfriend lots of people to see, free accommodation from friends  condo and awesome awesome food, I'd say why not? But to borrow a famous line, Singapore is always a good idea. ;)

Here are the 3-day looks with again, using only one footwear for lite-packing purposes and for of course the comfort of walking around. Pics were taken in Lohrong Ah Soo (where I stayed at), Orchard Road, Marina Bay Sands and Singapore Art Museum at Bras Basah. Enjoy. :)
