#TuesdayShoesday: Ankle Boot Trends

Resident of a warmer coast (tropical countries, even) but die-hard fan of fall? You've got yourself an ally here. ðŸ™‹ Lol. Being an autumn lover means you've probably atleast planned a trip somewhere (hey, everybody in my FB was in Seoul lately haha!) and I'm 100% sure the first wardrobe consideration would be - shoes! And what's the best boots for fall? Of course, ankle boots!

When the temperature drops slightly (somehow we do have that here right? rainy weather, etc.) in our local zones, we think about busting out our boots to get more mileage out of them than that aforementioned autumn holiday. And because I went overboooard with this shoe trend, these styles are on my heavy rotation lately. Weird side-eyes by strangers be daaammnnedd!!! HAHAHA!!!

Red Satin Boots:

The color that took over the street style scenes in fashion month not only in clothing but in footwear as well. Don't you just simply agree that adding a touch of red instantly makes you look a standout?

White Boots

I let go of this trend last year but so glad that designers have still incorporated this style for this season's collection just proving the lasting power of this color.

Heel Sock Boots:

Couldn't have been more excited when this updated silhouette entered the trend this year. What makes it sexy is that the sock part hugs your leg like a second skin. Did you see my other look of this boot here?

FSJ Shoes

Sharing is caring. And from one shoe lover to another, I have an amazing news for you. Today I'd like to share with you a shoe brand I discovered that offers a lot of stylish options for you shoeaholics like me out there. ;) I'm talking about FSJ shoes. From boots, to flats, to stilettos, you'll be certain to find the right pair that fits your aesthetic from their wide selection. It was a bit hard deciding on the pairs but here are my top 3 picks from their site here.

Ankle Boots. I'm crushing on this pair right now. Perfect for our rainy season now and pretty soon this will be usable for travels to fall/ winter season.

Flats. Leopard is a neutral. This flats can be easily mixed and match to your wardrobe.

Pumps. Talking about trends. Gingham is big this summer season and it wouldn't hurt to incorporate the print in your shoes as well.

You can like their Facebook page here to know more updates on their upcoming trends. Let me know your favorites in the comments. Happy shoe-hunting. :)

Band Tee

As you may have learned from this 2-year old post (kudos to you if you’ve been following this blog for that long, ðŸ˜‚), I’m not a t-shirt type of gal. Or maybe to be more accurate, you wouldn’t catch me dead wearing a shirt alone. Sure, sometimes I’d wear a plain white one but I make sure it has an eye-catching accessory with it. Don’t get me wrong but I do sometimes wish I was a shirt and jeans type of girl. Things would be much easier. ðŸ˜œ

As for this graphic shirt trend that’s recently been resurging, I couldn’t help but change this disposition specially when I found this Rolling Stones shirt. A cool graphic top is indeed the best solution to I-have-nothing-to-wear days. Heck, Kendall Jenner even wore ‘em without pants on as seen here. ðŸ™ˆ Of note here is how I also couldn’t stop pairing with my recent ankle boots in patent leather. But you’ve got to agree with me here, they’re just simply a match made in rock and roll heaven! ðŸ‘…😎✌️🎸

Rainy Day Footwear

Three months ago I wrote this post about how your white sneakers aren't appropriate anymore in the coming months and I felt that it is my duty to give you, my dear readers (lol!), an advise on what to replace them. You're welcome. Haha! With the first tropical depression landing about a month after that and now down to third tropical storm Carina, I was pretty sure that I didn't feel much the impact of the wet season on my footwear selection until early this week when the rain was non-stop since Monday due to the southwest monsoon. Just when I have a themed outfit for a week, lol.

Of course, brilliant me never considered the weather forecast haha so I was left to make a quick decision on Monday morning. As usual, the very first consideration would be the footwear and everything should work around it. Thankfully, I just did a room cleaning and I was reminded of this shoe staple - the ankle boots!

Ankle boots though considered a "winter staple" may not come off as appropriate in our country. But I'm pretty sure that fashion girls have it when they travel to wintry countries so why not choose it as a replacement for your white sneakers this wet season? The key to get more mileage out of them is to choose ones with neutral colors. Black will always be a favorite. And if you really wanna make it rain-appropriate, choose styles in low heels.

In this post, I've already highlighted the types of boots that every woman should own from a style authority. Pointy ankle boots is one of them and seriously I never found walking in the rain in them so comfortable. :P I also love how this weather allows me to bring out more of my winter toppers like moto jacket. Take note ladies, this is also another topper that's always in style. :)

Jacket/ Skirt: Topshop; Bag/ Umbrella: Mango; Bag: Balenciaga

You can also choose one in brown since according to style experts it's gonna huge this fall so expect more of this hue soon. Yikes. It's my least favorite color.

Cape: Mango; Dress/ Bag: Dorothy Perkins; Boots: Zara

Ha. On a rain-related caption for this. How about an LPA. Low Pressure Area? Nope. Leopard/ Pitch Black/ Ankle Boots. Hahaha!!!

Vest/ Shoes: Mango; Dress/ Skirt: H&M

So there goes another, themed outfit for the week courtesy of the monsoon rains. Haha. But I'm off to sand, sea and sun next week so my supposedly planned outfit will have to wait. Yay! :)
